JOB SUMMARY:

Key analytical support role tasked with the development of databases, financial analyses, and reports in support of driving operating performance in the Hospital Business.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Initially upon hire, work with Billing SME to finalize onboarding package, while learning team processes, documenting the gaps in the process with the SME while progressing through the onboarding process. This includes but is not limited to learning and documenting verbal nuances taught, participating in appropriate individual exploration of training and document where the gaps lie while formulating a plan to ensure a comprehensive onboarding package is delivered soon after onboarding is complete.
* Manage and technically enhance key financial reports the Billing team supplies monthly. Billing team members will train you on the current state processes and while the FA is taking on these reports, enhancements need to be described, executed, and documented to streamline our reporting needs.
* Work with new company initiatives introduced to the business to ensure that Billing is appropriately accounted for, tracking the different pieces of information Billing will need in the different systems while creating a process, based around data mining and creating a report, to assistance in implementing new initiative to the Billing team.
* Shadow billing team members and their processes, taking notes of potential enhancements, offering up a solution and plan to Manager to implement enhancements to save time from team members to focus on higher level tasks.
* Must be able to run a project plan and have transparent updates to the Billing manager about week to week progress, and be able to produce a product in terms of a process, time saved, new report etc. to be successful
* Will work with Billing Manager to build out metrics and analyze KPIs so our teams data and numbers can be used in various formats throughout the organization, this included but is not limited to monitoring the metrics, graphing metrics, analyzing metrics, trending the metrics, and preparing an executive summary either dashboard driven or a powerpoint report out.

Additional responsibilities may include:

1. Provide MS Access database design, development, and implementation support.
2. Use MS Excel and Access to analyze large quantities of data from multiple sources.
3. Identify key trends and prepare reports and business recommendations for internal customers.
4. Automate recurring processes and reporting through the use of VBA/macros.
5. Assist in the Hospital monthly financial close process.
6. Perform variance analysis comparing actual results to budget, forecast, and prior year.
7. Complete ad hoc reporting and analysis as requested.
8. Participate in the Hospital budgeting and forecasting processes.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

-Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, or Computer Science 2 to 4 years experience
-Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
-Advanced Microsoft Excel and Access skills
-Financial or business analysis experience
-Data mining experience and understanding of ODBC
-Outstanding customer service; ability to communicate complex concepts and recommendations in a simple, customer-friendly manner

Desired:
Experience using Business Objects or similar business intelligence software Knowledge of SQL
