Position Summary: Responsible for all administrative tasks pertaining to Payroll and HR Office functions.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities of the Job:
* Ensures accurate preparation and balancing of weekly and/or semi-monthly payroll.
* Daily review of Kronos timecards to ensure accuracy.
* Assists associates with problems connected with shortages on paychecks, disability checks and benefits.
* Processes and checks all paperwork pertaining to associate transfers, new hires change in job classifications and increases in Workday and Kronos.
* Ensures prompt processing of hourly/salaried personnel claims for disability.
* Prepares weekly Payroll, LOA and HRIS reports.
* Maintains complete and accurate records of leave requests in accordance with specified legal requirements and documentation of best practices.
* Administers other company time-off programs as assigned in accordance with internal policy and applicable laws.
* Maintains HR files for employees personnel files, medical files and training files.
* Provides backup coverage and support to HR team and additional areas as needed.
* Other duties as assigned.

Internal : All McDonough Associates (hourly, clerical and management)
External : Corp. HR, Corp. Payroll, Insurance Representatives, DOL, Visitors

Budgetary Responsibilities:
1. Processes various payroll adjustments, e.g. shortages, garnishments, vacation pay, etc.
2. Monitors payroll for accuracy.
Decision Making: Makes associate relations / policy decisions in absence of Human Resource Manager.
Resourcefulness/Creativity: Required constantly to stay on top of job due to constant interruptions.
Environment: Works with PC constantly while handling associates questions and answering phone. Fast paced.
Qualifications & Experience:
Experience: Extensive payroll and administrative experience (5 yr. minimum), HR background is a plus.
Education: HS diploma minimum. Associates and/or Bachelors degree is a major plus.

* Advanced knowledge of Workday and Kronos.
* Effective verbal and written communications skills.
* Extensive knowledge of the leave requirements and other legal protections afforded by the FMLA, ADA, and other applicable laws.
