Job Description

TITLE: Specialist, Data Analytics (The Prudential Insurance Company of America)

LOCATION: Newark, NJ

DUTIES: Apply mathematical and statistical theory and methods to collect, interpret, and summarize numerical data. Responsible for hypothesis testing to analyze campaign performance and provide actionable recommendations for improved results and A/B testing to lift CTR and open rate for campaigns. Utilize R to conduct intermediate statistical analysis such as Clustering for campaign targeting, GLM model for lapse rate prediction and ANOVA for hypothesis testing. Deliver results with recommendations to key stakeholders. Run ETL scripts in R/SAS to integrate and mine data for consumption in analytics and generate reports. Connect data from disparate sources to identify insights and patterns using descriptive and predictive analytics. Querying data using SQL for use in report generation and to answer business specific questions. Establish and maintain visualization infrastructure to create dashboards and stories to communicate business insights. Identify goals, scope of work, and key metrics and meet goals for various analytical projects.

REQTS: Must have Masters degree or foreign equivalent in Statistics, IT Management or related field plus two (2) years of experience in the position offered, or as a Marketing, Data Analyst or a related position. Employer will accept pre or post Masters degree experience. Must have two (2) years of experience with all of the following: Machine Learning; Hypothesis testing (statistics); A/B testing (statistics); data querying; data cleaning; data visualization; data analysis; R/Rstudio; SQL; Tableau; Object Oriented Programming; RDBMS; ETL; Agile methodology.

HOURS: Full time; Mon- Fri (37.5 hrs/week)
