Basic Job Functions:

This internal teammate must support plant operations and works closely with all other departments. This position must help drive continuous improvements in production tracking, process efficiency and plant automation. This teammate must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. This role will aslo assist in the Machine Shop and is required to have knowlege of the tolls an dmachines in the machine shop.

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

* Perform mechanical repairs to all shop equipment and tools as necessary
* Use multi-meter to troubleshoot electrical problems
* Work directly with production personnel to repair equipment
* Read and understand electrical schematics and symbols and modify graphic drawings as needed
* Complete work orders and preventative maintenance forms
* Perform a daily walk through of assigned areas
* Repair emergency problems with minimal downtime
* Record every intervention for daily and future analysis which includes maintenance time consumed and materials issued from the storeroom
* Perform necessary activities during PM days
* Ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment and has mechanical knowledge with hydraulic and pneumatic systems

Minimum Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
* Experince working as a machinist or working in a machine shop.
* Industrial maintenance experience required.
* Perform daily walk through of assigned areas.
* Report findings on inspection report, or repair on the spot
* Repair emergency problems with minimal downtime
* Record every intervention for daily and future analysis which includes maintenance time consumed and materials issued from the storeroom
* Perform activities during PM days
* Work directly with production personnel to isolate and repair equipment problems
* Responsible for trouble-shooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, and support the equipment
* Plan/ lay out repair work using drawings, blueprints, and manuals.
* Supervisor and/or manager recommendation.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Industrial maintenance experience which includes welding, overhead crane operation, inspection and repair.
* Programmable Controller programming diagnoses and repair.
* Knowledge in diagnoses and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic energy systems, electric motors and circuits.
* Willing to work rotating shifts

This segment sells its ferrous scrap to electric arc furnace steel mills and foundries for manufacturing process; and nonferrous scrap metal to aluminum can producers, secondary aluminum smelters, steel mills and other processors, and consumers of various nonferrous metals.
