Northrop Grumman Aeronautics has an opening for a Manager Systems Engineering 3, to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in Melbourne, Florida.
The main responsibility of this position will be the delivery of both internal and external analysis and test results that support design trade studies, recommendations, and maturation evaluations, requirements verification and validation, flight test preparation, and various other SOW deliverables. Other duties include but are not limited to the understanding and use of System of Systems (SoS) assets within the context of supplementing blue force capabilities, analysis of next generation threat capabilities, development of Concepts of Employment (CONEMPS) and Concepts of Operations (CONOPS), management of contract, NCTA, and capital budget amp; EAC, Earned Value Management, Integrated Master Scheduling (IMS), staffing and employee evaluations.
The Lead of the Mission Engineering Team for the Systems Engineering IPT within the Strike Division will guide the team in its analysis and testing of next generation strike assets within an advanced threat environment. This team of skilled engineers has responsibilities for operational analysis, virtual simulation (Man-In-The-Loop) testing and constructive simulation evaluations. This team is also responsible for the analysis of system performance and the associated support to the analysis of design trade studies, performance and interface requirements, contribution of subsystem attributes to overall weapon system effectiveness and cost/performance factors. This role requires specialized skills in leading a diverse team in developing and coordinating unique simulations conducted in custom-designed labs on both the West and East Coasts.

Qualification
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelors Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) related discipline and at least 9 years of engineering experience OR Masters in STEM with at least 7 years engineering experience
* Prior experience performing systems/operational analysis, and/or weapon systems analysis in air war applications
* Prior experience performing weapon system level design, integration, or test and evaluation
* An active Top Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
bull; An understanding of tactical aircraft aero-performance, sensors, weapons, and communication
bull; Operations Analysis and/or Virtual Simulation experience
bull; Weapon System level test and evaluation
