Northrop Grumman, Strategic Space Systems Division, is hiring an Administrative Assistant 4 located in Redondo Beach, CA.

The successful candidate will be a vital member of the team and perform in an administrative leadership role with responsibilities including (but not limited to) the following:

* Performing normal office functions such as setting up and maintaining files/content; interviewing callers and making proper referrals; arranging meetings, conferences, and tours; maintaining Outlook calendars; and receiving, referring or answering mail
* Reviewing drafts and finished documents for appropriate grammatical usage; answers questions relating to office operations and established policies and procedures
* Gathering, compiling and reporting on information relevant to organization
* Providing support to high volume travel (periodic) to include travel arrangements, expense reports, and all forms of correspondence
* Maintaining and ordering supplies for the team
* Supporting the program initiatives and major milestone events

Essential Functions:

* Maintains Director rsquo;s schedule and coordinates management meetings
* Communicates with executive, administrative, management and customer personnel to gather or convey relevant information, and provide logistical support
* Supports and maintains a positive and collaborative work environment

The ability to be collaborative, proactive, self-motivated, well-organized, detail oriented, and assertive as necessary and able to execute projects and tasks independently will be vital to the success of this role.

Qualification

Basic Qualifications

* High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (G.E.D) with a minimum of 6 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant or performing administrative related work
* Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, or PowerPoint)
* Ability to work with minimal supervision and interface effectively at all levels within the organization while protecting and maintaining confidentiality
* Ability to manage and execute communications (written/verbal) with stakeholders through organized processes to ensure that information is defined, collected, shared, understood, stored and retrieved in a manner that effectively meets program and stakeholder needs.
* Proficiency in Outlook to maintain busy calendars for multiple staff members and coordinate meetings, including customer visits, over a variety of locations and facilities
* Experience exercising good judgment and solve problems while demonstrating flexibility and agility, prioritizing multiple tasks with competing deadlines, managing schedule conflicts, and providing excellent follow-through
* Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret, SCI, or SSBI security clearances

Preferred Qualifications

* At least ONE of the following active U.S. Government Security Clearances: Department of Defense Top Secret level with a background investigation date within 6 years OR SCI access with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within 5 years
* Previous experience supporting Director or Integrated Product Team level Staff
* Proficiency in business and travel expense system (Concur, Edge, or similar) with complex, frequently, changing travel
* Experience in planning and providing logistical support for meetings and events
* Familiarity with Northrop Grumman (NG) policies and procedures
* Familiarity with NG systems (Concur, iBuy, and other NG tools)
