Digital Workplace Technology is looking for a Software Distribution Engineer to facilitate administer the deployment experience for our enterprise endpoint fleet.

This is a Technology Engineering position that will be focused on ensuring a high quality experience for all of our end users through consistent execution and continuous improvement of our software delivery services. Responsible for the administration and oversight of all content delivery, we take pride in accurate targeting, deployment and client health compliance monitoring, and the remediation of any identified defects.

This position will partner with many areas across the company to ensure that requirements are identified and proper expectations are set through proper release planning. Day to Day responsibilities will include:

* Release planning and communications
* Processing of scheduled / requested delivery of all software and vulnerability management deliveries
* Monitoring the success of scheduled automated deployments
* Remediation of all active deployments to ensure compliance goals are obtained
* Identification of Continuous Improvement opportunities to streamline our services
* Incident and Problem management to ensure service stability

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience with administration and support of enterprise software distribution through Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Configuration Manager Current Branch / Intune).

Required skills include:

* Excellent customer service and attention to detail including a strong commitment on maintaining a positive end user experience.
* Demonstrated ability to manage and maintain Query based Collections
* Deep understanding of MEM deployment and application packaging techniques
* WSUS
* Integration with Microsoft Store for Business
* Vendor specific software delivery practices such as custom updates

* Data query and manipulation skills (SQL / WMI / Excel Pivot Tables)
* Windows OS Administration experience (WMI, Security, Log file analysis)
* Agile/DevOps workflow management experience
* Powershell

Additional preferred skills include:

* Familiarity with automation techniques including PowerShell
* Enterprise network, infrastructure, and support experience.
* Working experience with Admin Studio Enterprise and WorkFlow Manager
* Hardware and Software asset lifecycle management
* Proven ability to work in a highly dynamic team and learn quickly

The Technology Engineer delivers standard and custom supportable technology products based on Nationwides architectural standards, technology roadmaps, industry trends and business requirements. Youll be focused on collaboration, data, systems, storage, middleware, network, security and contact center technology products. Youre also accountable for the operational aspects and management for the above products in accordance with the business requirements and defined service level agreements (SLAs).

Key Responsibilities:

* Creates and implements standard builds/templates for all technology platforms.
* Drives requirements to meet current and future needs, tracks and reports capacity postures.
* Analyzes reports and delivery recommendations to remediate capacity issues.
* Implements capacity enhancements.
* Designs standard and custom technology solutions for business partner projects, including pre-production testing, performance tuning, handoffs and certification.
* Delivers technology/product optimization, migrations and management, including technology/product design, planning, power and environmental management.
* Collaborates with others to develop meaningful metrics that drive fact-based decisions on a given product/environment/solution.
* Conducts proactive system maintenance, disaster recovery planning, data backup and recovery as well as inventory, configuration and utility product management.
* Executes production engineering processes, incident management, root cause analysis, problem management, change management, release management and knowledge management.
* Provides production support for all technology platforms.
* Provides oversight for technical labs and development environments.

May perform other duties as assigned.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to Manager/Director Technology Engineering Manager/Technology Product Manager.

Typical Skills and Experiences:

Education: Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems or a related field is preferred.

License/Certification/Designation: Technology certifications or designation are not required, but encouraged (i.e.: AWS, Azure, scripting and development languages, delivery methods, security).

Experience: Four years of experience with moderately complex integrated solutions and an ability to develop and modify existing solutions for specialized needs. Experience with automation of solution configurations deployment and with system management processes and tools. Experience with concepts and solutions: IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and Package Solutions.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Strong communication skills, knowledge of planning, management and execution of Accelerated Solutions Deliver framework, Information Security acumen. Influencing, negotiating and priority setting is needed. Insurance/financial services industry knowledge is a plus.

Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the Vice President and Human Resources.
