Description:
The Manassas Production Operations team is seeking a highly self-motivated, analytical professional whose role will be to effectively apply Industrial Engineering concepts and techniques to analyze processes and reduce waste. The role will contribute to affordability and cost reductions through the development of data analytics that drive a cost-effective manufacturing process and enhance production performance. The industrial engineer will work with the Senior Leadership Team to develop and implement plans and programs for facility layout improvement, facility modifications, revisions to operating methods and implementation of new technologies/methodologies in an effort to be optimal for future production rates and to facilitate continuous improvement activities. The successful candidate will develop and monitor changes to production workflow, manpower changes, or changes to the schedule. The candidate will take ownership of schedule analysis, will recommend schedule adjustments as needed, and will have the ability to simulate various scheduling scenarios.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
- Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards.
-Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
Desired Skills:
- Interest in automation and robotics.
- High rate production experience.
- Experienced with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Access, Word, and Excel).
- Ability to work closely with engineering,
manufacturing operators, test, quality assurance, and other operations support teams.
- Experience with Statistical Analysis.
- Experience with Simulation software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts and techniques including Flow implementation.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Documentation and organization skills.
