This position will be part of the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Aircraft Maintenance Team, supporting the F-35 maintenance and operation at Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, South Carolina and later will transfer to Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, California. Supervises aircraft maintainers, provides technical assistance, and assists in setting maintenance priorities. Supervises general services, repairs, and overhauls of aircraft and aircraft repair to ensure aircraft are in good mechanical condition and safe for flight. Assist in the supervision of the LM maintenance team's work schedule, training and administrative requirements.

Other responsibilities include:
Will supervise multiple maintenance disciplines in an integrated workforce environment that consists of Military, Government Civil Service, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Pratt and Whitney, and BAE systems employees.

Ensure workforce follows appropriate technical instructions, Navy and Marine Corps 4790 NAMP, and local operating instructions.

Assist management in aircraft status reports, in progress work, material availability, potential work stoppages to ensure personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed.

Ensures Good House keeping and Safety practices are enforced.

Must be able to work a Flexible Shift Schedule.

Additional duties and related responsibilities will be assigned as required.

Physical Requirements: Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel or reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist.

Considered candidates must be able to work first (1st), second (2nd), third (3rd) or weekend shift(s) dependent on manager's needs.

Must have at least an Interim Secret Security Clearance. Must be a U. S. Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:
The following Basic Qualifications are skills that a candidate must possess to be considered for this position:

Must possess 5 years recent (within the last 10 years) aircraft maintenance experience.

Previous supervisor/leadership experience.

Previously awarded a Marine Corps, or Navy CDI, or Air Force 5 to 9 level discipline skill level rating or possess equivalent civilian experience with associated credential such as a licensed FAA Airframe and Power plant or Inspector Airframe license.

Microsoft Office software.

Experience with such programs as Hazardous Waste Management, Safety, Maintenance Training, FOD, and Security.

Experience reading engineering drawings, blueprints and interpret/translate instructions to specific maintenance mechanics/technicians.
Desired Skills:
The following Desired Skills are not required but are those skills that would set a candidate apart from the others:

F-35 aircraft or Fifth Generation aircraft maintenance experience.

Knowledge of working with composites and Low Observable Coatings.

Possess a functional capability on standard computer software programs.

U.S. Navy, or U.S. Marine Corps experience with thorough understanding of Fighter Aircraft Systems and Operations under 4790. NAMP

Experience and knowledge of Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) or Integrated Maintenance Information System (IMIS)

Experience in Portable Maintenance Aid (PMA) activities such as aircraft forms documentation, technical data usage, and supply chain management activities.
