Bolivar Medical Center
Under the general supervision of the Director, Environmental Services and the direct supervision of the Lead, Environmental Services Associate, and according to established policies and procedures, performs the day to day cleaning activities in patient rooms, discharge units, offices and ancillary areas. Performs other work of the department as required.
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution. Previous experience in institutional housekeeping preferred. Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
Work is of light physical demands with considerable walking and standing. Kneels, crouches, and bends in performing cleaning functions. May occasionally lift supplies and equipment weighing up to 40 lbs. Pushes, pulls, lifts and moves equipment and supplies. Exposed to odors and fumes from cleaning agents when cleaning rooms and other areas.
