Job Description

Would you like to be involved in a startup at Microsoft creating the next generation of productivity applications? We are the Intentional Platform and Applications team, and we own an exciting set of technologies acquired by Microsoft in 2017. The first application created from these technologies was the hugely successful Microsoft Whiteboard product. Based on the learnings from that product, we are creating the next generation of the Intentional Platform and simultaneously building with it a second wave of applications that can create rich interactive documents that support multiple simultaneous users, heterogenous content, semantic encoding, and robust groupware. We have a culture of end-to-end innovation, rapid agile development, empowerment of everyone on the team, and customer obsession.

We are looking first and foremost for developers who love to learn and grow and can thrive while working in a variety of new areas. In addition, these specializations are interesting to us but not required:

* Application development expertise in developing user-facing Windows applications using domain-oriented, aspect-oriented and functional programming techniques
* Analytical database management system expertise
* Experience creating robust and performant low-level graphics engines using immediate-mode rendering APIs
* Experience with server-side development including creating high volume ASP.NET core based microservices in Azure and Kubernetes

Our work follows these principles:

* First Party = Third Party. We are applying open-source best practices now and actively working towards open sourcing our platform.
* Document-Driven and Test-Driven Development. We believe that un-testable code and un-documentable code is unacceptable code.
* Act on and Provide Feedback. We believe in listening to each other and acting on feedback.

We support remote work with all team meetings and interactions online and we welcome candidates that can work a schedule to overlap with our core hours of 11AM to 4PM in the PST time zone.

Required:

* 1+ years of relevant experience in C and .NET

Preferred:

* Experience with domain oriented, aspect oriented and functional programming
* Special expertise in analytical databases, low-level graphics engines, or ASP.NET core microservices in Azure and Kubernetes.
* Experience working on open-source projects
