Our team is building the next-generation of OneNote and we are looking for a full-stack web engineer to join our team! We are rapidly building new experiences around how users take, collaborate, and manage their notes, allowing them to use the power of OneNote today in Teams, Outlook, Office, and more. We go beyond OneNote Notebooks, like the OneNote Feed, allowing users to find Sticky Notes, OneNote pages, and Samsung Notes while they write an email. The OneNote team at Microsoft is responsible for OneNote, Sticky Notes, and some other cool future stuff we can't talk about yet. This position is full-time and based at our Redmond office. NotesJobs

* Participate in the technical design and implementation of fast and fluid web experiences on OneNote and assure quality for engineering work
* Collaborate with team members to deliver features, and improve engineering systems
* Be highly motivated and demonstrate willingness to learn and to grow within the role
* Invest in others' growth and mentor team members and build highly capable teams
* A passion for deeply understanding customer needs, and bringing customer perspective to daily work

Required:

* 5+ years of Software Engineering experience
* 2+ years of experience in shipping high-quality products or services
* 2+ years of experience with JavaScript or TypeScript
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or 7+ years of industry experience

Preferred:

* Experience designing, developing, deploying and evolving web-based user experiences and services
* Experience with React, Fluid Framework, Redux, Azure, and/or SharePoint
* Experience developing apps in Microsoft Teams
* Strong problem solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills
* Demonstrable experience in driving key architectural decisions, designs and implementation at scale
* Experience with cross-discipline and cross-team collaboration
* Leadership skills, displayed via official management experience or clear examples of effectively leading groups of engineers
* Excellent technical communication skills
* Experience analyzing and improving full-stack web & service efficiency and reliability
