Join us as an Architect who develops the requirements and models the expected performance of Enterprise SSDs. Take Product from concept to development and support its release to production!

We are a collaborative team of storage specialists with a passion for innovation! Some of the key responsibilities for a Senior Architect are:

* Define detailed SSD product requirements and develop new product architecture specifications
* Craft new intellectual property, patents, technical presentations and/or publications, trade secrets
* Model and analyze performance, latency, and power from customer workloads
* Mentor product core teams throughout the product development process with innovation and sound foundational development principles
* Partner with external customers, gathering requirements and crafting solutions as a trusted adviser
* Build strong interpersonal working relationships with other architects, technologists, design engineers and engineering teams to ensure successful implementation and feasibility demonstration of new product concepts
* Voice support and encourage new storage products, technologies, and capabilities
* Represent Micron at appropriate industry consortia, technical organizations, and technical conferences
* Identify and keep abreast of key technical trends and competitive landscapes within the storage industry
* Influence different technical fields with reach spanning across geographic areas, organizational boundaries, and the industry

This position is being offered in Boise ID, Longmont CO, Irvine or San Jose CA

Responsibilities and Duties

* Possess a broad knowledge and experience in SSD Architecture and Systems
* Display above average skills in Modeling, Planning and Communication
* Proven track record of collaborating with functional groups including Firmware, HW and Architecture
* Experience in: Standards, PCIe, NVME, SSDs, Storage Architecture, NAND Devices

Qualifications and Skills include, but not limited to:

* 10 years Storage industry Experience
* Degree/Major: BS, MS or Ph.D. in Electrical, Computer Engineering and/or related field
* Deep knowledge of Computer System and Storage Architecture
* Strong experience in Performance modeling and project Planning
* Proven background in Product development and multi-functional teams
* Passion for delivering innovative solutions to difficult problems.
