Sr. Selenium Test Automation Engineer

Summary:

McKesson Specialty Health is looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer to join a highly skilled and motivated team to drive quality for leading Healthcare applications in the market. This position will work closely with the Development and Product teams to deliver strategies for automating tests for new features being developed, so the candidate must have a strong background in automation. The Senior Test Automation Engineer will also be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the efficiency of the current test automation framework which will support a more frequent and higher quality release delivery schedule.

Responsibilities:

* Work with the development and product teams to develop strategies for testing and automation.
* Design, maintain and enhance automation frameworks to speed up the different phases of testing.
* Execute, monitor and analyze test results to create test reports and metrics to be communicated to the leadership team and stakeholders.
* Review user stories to understand the application development activities to ensure complete test coverage and high-quality releases.
* Conduct backend data validation and write complex SQL queries to pull data residing in multiple databases platforms, for example mySQL, Oracle and other platforms.
* Perform code reviews on the tests developed by other team members to improve the overall code quality and standard of the automated test suites.
* Identify opportunities for innovation, engage and lead the team to drive long term solutions for maintaining the quality of the applications.
* Communicate with transparency to make sure people have the right information to make the best decisions.
* Provide continuous support for testing with the goal of improving overall software quality by continued refactoring of automated test scripts and test cases as required.
* Review current test suites, identify gaps and enhance test coverage for the applications.
* Perform webservices testing and develop automation scripts in SoapUI/Postman for Rest Assured APIs.
* Provide guidance and support to associate and intermediate level QA engineers.

Minimum Requirements:
5 years of experience testing complex web based applications built on REACT, Angular etc
* 5 plus years of hands-on coding experience in Java
* 4 years of experience automating test cases and building reusable testing modules

* Critical Skills:
* Expertise in working with Selenium Web Driver, TestNG and Junit testing framework.
* Expertise in testing APIs using SOAPUI and Postman.
* Solid experience with programming language, Java and various related APIs.
* Proficiency in using test case management and defect tracking tools like, JIRA, qTest, QSymphony, Zephyr for Jira etc.
* Good understanding of database platforms with hands-on experience in writing SQL queries.
* Proficiency in using version control tools like git.
* Expertise with reporting tools like TestNg reporting, Extended Reports, Allure etc.
* Solid understanding of CI/CD tools and processes like Jenkins, Bamboo.
* Expertise working with build tools like Maven and Gradle.
* Self-starter with ability to work with minimum supervision.

Additional Skills:

* Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work individually and in a team, self-starter
* Ability to coach and mentor other team members on test automation skills
* Strong understanding in Secure Software Development Lifecycle process and agile (scrum) development methodology.
* Experienced with Microservices Architecture and Oracle Database.

Education:

* Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
