Job Description
Role / Title
The Business Analytics & Insights Senior Analyst works closely with the Business Analytics team within the US Central Finance Organization to support high impact analytics projects throughout the US Zone. Additionally, the Senior Analyst supports the creation of market analyses, competitor analytics/comparisons, market insights and ad hoc requests from the CEO, CFO, Zone President, and Board while owning priority 1 monthly routines. The Business Analytics Senior Analyst should be a self-starter, capable of picking up things quickly and getting to efficient outcomes in preset deadlines. This role reports to the Head of Business Analytics and Insights.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Building scalable solutions for ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to support analytical and business needs
* Use analytical and statistical rigor to answer ad-hoc business questions and drive business decisions
* Find and create ways to optimize big data models and data sources
* Develop visualizations for ad-hoc requests and projects, as well as ongoing reporting and report automation
* For relationships with our IT Data Engineering partners to assure that data is where it needs to be and accurate
* Managing competing resources and priorities.
* Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects.
* Owning and maintaining priority 1 models and reports
Minimum Qualifications
* BS in math, finance, engineering, statistics, business or related discipline is required
* Proven analytical and quantitative skills and ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
* Proficient in Tableau and Microsoft Excel
* Strong business acumen, interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
* Ability to influence cross-functional team members
* Strong Technical and Systems orientation
* Motivated self-starter who can effectively work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
* Strong verbal/written communication & data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
* Team player who manages collaboratively with the ability to influence management, in some cases without authority
* 2+ years as a Business Intelligence Engineer, Business Analyst, Management Consultant or similar roles
* Ability to self-direct, multitask, and prioritize a constantly evolving workload
Preferred Qualifications
* Working SQL or Alteryx knowledge
* Familiarity with statistical modeling tools such as R or Python.
* Experience in partnering with business owners to understand requirements and develop supporting analysis to solve business problems.
* Experience in project management
* Experience with IRI or Nielsen
