Role Summary

Based in Plano, Texas, or San Francisco, California, the Vice President of Merchant Services Product Marketing will have a tremendous opportunity to deliver high-impact marketing programs for a rich pipeline of new product solutions and services. Our Merchant Services Enterprise Product Marketing team is at the center of driving modern storytelling techniques to create new corporate client experiences and business opportunities for the firm.

Day to day, the role looks like this: we bring together client and market insights to inspire and guide our product development teams; read the competitive landscape and strategically influence the long term product direction of the business; craft product storytelling and deliver passionate demos to bring the experience to life for our clients; join in spirited brand discussions and champion our products; dive deeply into the numbers; robustly partner across disciplines to ensure alignment throughout the customer journey; champion go-to-market strategies and integrated marketing plans to engage our clients.

The ideal candidate is a client-focused, results-oriented B2B marketer with experience in the payments space who can leverage her/his creativity to distill complex, technical product solutions into unique and compelling messaging and collateral. The candidate must have an intellectual curiosity to stay apprised of industry trends, a collaborative approach to work across functional teams, a desire to employ modern storytelling techniques, and an ability to challenge the status-quo to deliver innovative, breakthrough marketing programs that deliver business results.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Develop product storybook tied to the delivery roadmap and global messaging strategy.
* Create segment-specific messaging and unique selling propositions for products and solutions.
* Synthesize and simplify complex product features into client-friendly materials and communications.
* Utilize storytelling to drive awareness, accelerate demand, engage clients and grow programs.
* Develop client-facing content and materials for direct client interactions and sales enablement.
* Create a program to capture client testimonials and evidence to amplify across integrated channels.
* Land B2B product storytelling across various client engagements, events, and targeted briefings.
* Manage controls and procedures in accordance with compliance requirements.
* Ensure all marketing programs are managed within budget and on time with strong ROI.
* Manage projects with internal and third-party creative agencies.

Qualifications:

* Passion for financial services products and services. You must genuinely love the industry and how J.P. Morgan can play an important role in shaping the future anything less just wont do.
* Excellent organizational skills are critical. You will be managing multiple projects at the same time and working with colleagues across organizational boundaries.
* Strong B2B and technical aptitude is key. While this is not a product role per se, you will need to be technically savvy at translating product and client benefits into a storybook across the team.
* 7+ years of product management, product marketing or related discipline with proven track record of crafting value propositions, segment specific messaging and delivering go-to-market programs.
* Understanding of the payments industry landscape and market dynamics is preferred.
* Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred
