Job Description
This position is associated with the sale of Intels NAND memory and storage business to SK hynix (You can read more about the transaction in the press release - https://newsroom.intel.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/11/2020/10/nand-memory-news-q-a.pdf). The transaction will enhance the resources and potential of the business storage solutions, including client and enterprise SSDs, in the rapidly growing NAND Flash space amid the era of big data.

As the global leader in the semiconductor industry, Intel possesses many industry-leading SSD technologies including the most capable Quadruple Level Cell (QLC) NAND Flash products. As a Director Capability and Analytics, you will be part of a world-class team that will transition to lead the SSD business at SK hynix.
This position aligns to Phase 2 of the transaction, which includes NAND technology and component development along with fab operations. Employees aligned to Phase 2 will continue to be employed by Intel and will continue to develop NAND technology and components and manufacture NAND wafers at the fab. Phase 2 of the transaction is expected to close in March 2025, at which time employees aligned to this phase of the transaction will transition employment to SK hynix.
This role is to lead the Capabilities and Analytics team for the NAND Design, Technology & Manufacturing Group. The focus will be to stand up an Advanced Analytics center of excellence with a community of practice across all disciplines (Design/TD/MFG/Planning ect). This is a unique opportunity to build a team and have an impact large business metrics that directly drive growth and affordability to the NDTM group. Your team will be focused on delivering optimization and analytics tools that directly affect customer delivery performance, inventory management, and optimization of capital investments. You will also be partnering with our automation team and the face to the customers ensuring 24x7 operational support and daily accountability for the performance of our systems.
Your team will consist of passionate data engineers, data scientists, operation research engineers and product managers to develop the vision and future strategy as we grow the NAND business. As the manager for the Capabilities and Analytics team, you will be the focal point for driving the work of large-scale analytics programs and coordinating support and enhancements with our business and automation partners. This includes the usage of data cleansing, statistics, machine learning, data mining, predictive analysis and other data analysis techniques to collect, explore, and extract insights from large scale data sets. Additionally, you will play an active role in translating business and functional requirements into concrete deliverables, managing schedules, product releases and budgets. As a leader, you will set an inspiring vision for the team, align priorities with business goals, get results across boundaries, and ensure an inclusive work environment. You will collaborate with others on the direction of product management relevant to long-term business goals and work to develop strategies that ensure effective achievement of business group objectives.

* Experience with machine learning and data mining technique to understand the patterns in large volumes of data, identify relationships detect data anomalies, and classify data sets.
* Experience deploying predictive models and integrating them into business processes and applications; Validating and optimizing model performance over time
* Expert knowledge in one or more scripting computer languages (R, Python, etc.) and visualization tools (SQL, Tableau, Power BI, ect.)
* Experience working with data integration developers to assess data quality and define data processing business rules for cleansing, aggregation, enhancement etc.
* Experience as part of a project team & ability to work under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines; including project management or agile scrum experience
* Proven experiencto present complex analysis results tailored to different audiences (e.g. technical, manager, executive) in an actionable form including the use of data visualizations.
* Knowledge of Agile best practices, Fab Manufacturing & lean manufacturing principles
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
* BS and/or MS in Data Science, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent field.
* Minimum 10 years+ of experience in delivering data science solutions to real production systems with a deep understanding of the data science engineering lifecycle process.
