As a Capture Manager for IPS focusing on the State/Local Government and Education (SLED) market, you will have the exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy. Your responsibilities will include working with the internal IPS State/Local Government Sales Teams to identify emerging customer needs and trends, develop winning business strategies, pricing, partner, and proposal strategies.
The ideal candidate will possess prior capture management and/or business development experience supporting innovative technical solutions. The candidates background will show a demonstrated ability to think strategically about the full variety of contract solutions to meet the SLED customers needs.
Responsibilities
* Executes strategies and tactics to deliver a qualified pipeline of national contract opportunities with pursuit/win plans for each. Experience translating capture strategy into proposal win themes during the proposal stage
* Research and analyze available data to identify customer solutions needs and buying trends (from a variety of sources to include State Budgets, government trade sources and procurement sites)
* Build and manage a pipeline of National SLED contract capture opportunities and develop/drive the pursuit plan for each.
* Act as the capture lead in coordination with key internal stakeholders (e.g. partner teams, sales teams, proposal team, engineering teams, contracts, legal support, etc.) to position IPS and our partners to win the business
* Develop win strategies, customer friendly procurement approaches, technical discriminators, and innovative strategies working with IPS stakeholders and partners specific to each opportunity
* Be a thought leader with respect to program pursuit, proposal responses, win strategies, technical discriminators, solutions providers, and pricing
Desired Skills
* Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience or military experience
* At least 3 years of capture manager experience, preferably IT and cloud experience
* This candidate must have demonstrated ability to understand and navigate acquisition policies & procedures and have experience with SLED government compliance requirements.
* Proven experience managing a portfolio of engagements including cloud with timelines varying from weeks to multiple years and numerous milestones
* Excellent communication and writing skills, including the ability to author, create, and develop winning proposals
