Role
Responsible for testing prototype development systems, peripherals and/or pre-released software for compatibility and functionality by performing test cases. Works from developed test plans and/or written or verbal instructions. Executing Automative Test and Documenting findings. Assists product development engineers in the diagnosis and replication of product failures.
Responsibilities
Constructs, troubleshoots and tests prototype assemblies
Sets up, configures and tests hardware and software products
Performs specified test cases and clearly documents results
Conducts functional testing and analysis of newly developed products to ensure operation and reliability
Assembles and disassembles test configurations
Requirements
-4+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience
-Experience with server hardware, server Operating Systems (Windows Server, Red Hat, SUSE, etc.) and technologies
-Prior validation experience, including issue discovery, logging, verification and analysis
-Troubleshooting and debugging skills
-Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Preferences
-Familiarity with Dell hardware and solutions
-Experience with automated test software
-Knowledge of Dell factory processes, especially as they relate to diagnostics and software installation
