The Boeing Company is actively recruiting for an Entry-Level Guidance Navigation and Control Engineer at the Hill AFB, UT area. Boeing Defense and Space Systems is growing in the area of aircraft, missile, weapons and autonomous system Guidance Navigation and Control (GN&C) system design, development, integration and test. Flight Engineering is looking for motivated, talented engineers to join the Boeing team in this exciting business area for the Minuteman III Sustainment program. Selected candidates will support Sustainment in a wide range of existing and new areas of GN&C, performance analysis and simulation solutions. The selected candidates will have visibility into G&C and simulation methods across the Boeing enterprise.
Position Responsibilities:
* Gather and define system level requirements for Guidance, Navigation and Control (GN&C) systems
* Perform design & analysis of Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) systems, simulations, models & tools
* Support design reviews, analyses, simulations and component / system testing to ensure delivery of products that meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations
* Support troubleshooting of delivered product operational / service anomalies and incidents
* Participate in new business development efforts
* Work under general supervision
This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearances, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (Post Start)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
* Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
* Experience or coursework in Control Systems
* Experience or coursework using Matlab/Simulink
* Software Development training or experience using C, C++ or Ada
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
* Current active Secret U.S. Security Clearance
* Experience or coursework working with aircraft, missile, spacecraft, autonomous platform or similar vehicle Guidance Navigation or Control systems
* Experience or coursework in Modern and Optimal Control Theory
* Experience or coursework with simulation and / or system/component modeling
* Experience or coursework with Kalman Filter design, estimation techniques
* Experience or coursework with implementing algorithms in real time systems
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Relocation:
