Job Description

The Global Interiors and Thermal Cabin Comfort Group is seeking experienced, motivated engineers to support the next generation of industry-leading and complex systems within our Seating Group. Are you up for the challenge?
Electrifying the future will include a seating system that will provide the passenger a tailored experience based on preference. You will execute breakthrough technologies into vehicles and experiences that people love. A vehicle seat is the source of the largest physical connection between the car and driver!
Design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical seating systems will be your day to day duties.
* Perform engineering design evaluations. May develop a range of products.
* Utilize engineering tools and processes to successfully develop components and system programs.
* Optimally achieve program breakthroughs by detailed and thorough program management.
* Responsible for leading product development and integration activities.
As a Seating Engineer, you will develop and integrate an area within the team that will exceed expectations in the overall customer experience.
The focused teams have several openings in the following areas:
* Studio Seat Integration
* Front and Rear Seat Integration
* Seating Components (Heat/Vents, Ventilation, Restraints, Electrical)
* Seat Complete - JIT
* Seat Plastics
* Seat Comfort (Climate, Trim)
* Seat Structures
This role requires an experienced engineer to lead and drive a multi-functional product development team including collaboration with the following groups:
* Within Engineering
* Design
* Interior Restraints Systems
* Body Systems
* Electrical Systems
* HVAC Systems
* Global Safety
* CAE
* Validation
* Outside of Engineering
* Creative Design
* Purchasing
* Manufacturing
* Quality

Additional Job Description
Requirements:
* Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an accredited University Required
* Minimum three years of developing and executing technical solutions for mechanical components to support new vehicle programs
* Balancing business imperatives, including but not limited to cost, mass, complexity, and timing
* Comfortable working with multidisciplinary and cross-cultural teams
* Ability to deal optimally with ambiguity and forward-thinking environment.
Preferred Skills:
* Previous DRE experience
* Familiarity with structured problem-solving methods (i.e., Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) Green belt certification or higher, Red-X, Experience with DFMEA, PFMEA and GD&T
