Modernizing our Search Platform is a high-visibility and accelerated capability in the company. To facilitate this, we are seeking out a highly motivated individual to partner with the Travel Ads and Sort teams to accelerate their ability to test and learn new features and algorithms. They would also design metrics and build visualizations to monitor business health, thereby allowing us to react most efficiently in case of micro and macro issues and forming the all-important feedback loop to intelligent algorithms.

Who You Are:
* An established performer who consistently applies analytics capabilities, principles, and playbooks to tackle business issues and opportunities, with a moderate level of guidance.
* 2+ years data analytics experience in a business context.
* Excellent logical thinking, a background in a quantitative field such as mathematics, physics, engineering, operations research, data science or similar, and a scientific approach to problem-solving (i.e. ability to ask the right questions and design appropriate analyses to answer them).
* You have that curious streak - want to investigate that data point, find that insight, understand how that works, and find the route cause behind abnormal patterns in our data.
* Strong expertise and experience with visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Qlik, Power BI).
* Ability to work with large datasets and proficient in SQL and another programming language (e.g. R, Python, PySpark, Scala).
* Knowledge of A/B Testing, and statistical experimentation techniques.
* Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable with ambiguity. A sharp focus on results and strong attention to detail.
What You'll Do:
* Build a framework and an interactive, multi-layered visualization tool for statistical and deep-dive analyses of A/B tests involving sponsored and regular listings getting sorted by algorithms designed to optimize the marketplace for travelers, property owners and Expedia Group at the same time.
* Design and be the first pair of eyes on the Search & Discovery business metrics to isolate and track the impact of different Search & Discovery products on the business.
* Build an interactive visualization tool that can also be used for tracking and analysis of business metrics and automating the monitoring mechanism. Use it to perform deep dives and take meaningful decisions.
* Build part of the UX feedback loop by designing the business health metrics to make learning systems within Search & Discovery more intelligent.
* Become a specialist on our Clickstream Data and grow into owning the Experimentation for Search.
* Exploratory analysis to find opportunities to reduce friction in Search experience and effectively improve Search performance metrics.
