Ecolab, the leading global developer of premium cleaning, sanitizing and maintenance products and services for the hospitality, institutional and industrial markets, is seeking a Solids Production Associate II (Mixer/FTO).
This role is responsible for manufacturing solid products according to Ecolab standard formulas, applicable instructions, and current standard operating procedures. This role is part of a tiered structure responsible for the operation of Cast production consisting of Solids Production Associate I, Solids Production II, and Solids Production III. Associates are expected to have the potential to learn and perform the job duties of the tier they are in and the tiers below.
The Solids Production Associate II is responsible for the operation of and production of solids including but not limited to mixing, filling, packaging, receiving/staging raw materials and pack supplies, picking FG freight, maintaining equipment for daily operations. Ensures that the correct Personal Protective Equipment is available and all other safety procedures are understood and followed.

What You Will Do:
* Create and maintain documentation for the new Cast mixing process including SOPs, CILs and other job aides and training materials.
* Execute construction checkout and process testing.
* Train other associates on the new Cast process
* Help create and maintain 5S along with housekeeping standards.
* Complete Cleaning, Inspection and Lubrication (CIL) standards at 100% completion and compliance.
* Identify, troubleshoot and resolve 80% of minor defects.
* Work with supervisor and maintenance personnel to prioritize and resolve additional defects.
* Reload raw materials into automatic feeders timely.
* Help create and execute on batch strategies to optimize the mixing process and complete batches within the targeted mix time.
* Reviews daily mix schedules. Ensures that the correct PPE is available and other safety procedures are understood and followed.
* Ensures that the raw materials required for the mixes are available and that the EBS system is being used correctly to maintain inventory system.
* May use fork trucks, scales, pumps, and other material moving and measuring equipment.
* Following the mix instructions, adds raw materials to the mixers manually when necessary, using pumps, or using mixing systems.
* Simultaneously mix several tanks and accurately complete related documents.
* Take samples of the completed mixed batches and performs basic QC tests or takes samples to lab for tests.
* Consult with Quality personnel on batch adjustments and notes batch adjustments on mix paperwork.
* Follows and achieves the mixing schedule per FST.
* Document all work accurately and timely as instructed, including material usage.
* Technical and mathematical ability to operate batch systems, pumps, read meters, understand basic QC data, and to track mixing and quality information (mix logs, batch adjustments, etc.).
* Participates on Hazwoper team as needed.
* Utilize TPM methodologies in everyday work.
* Participate on project teams and in project implementation.
* Assists where needed in the Production Department to meet service needs.
* Train other associates.
* Help create and maintain 5S along with housekeeping standards.
* Ensures proper staging and identification once an order has been completely picked.
* Uses various pieces of equipment (manual pallet jack, electric pallet jack, reach truck, and propane lift) to move pallets.
* Verifies quantities, quality of items and proper labeling of products that are being shipped.
* Examines all packaging and contents of items for conformance to customer specifications and verifies all information against the packing list and SAP.
* Identifies items with a quantity discrepancy and promptly communicates with Supervisor and/or Lead
* Plan, schedule, and prioritize work in a timely manner to support manufacturing
* Raw Materials handler and finished good handler
* Receiving raw materials and shipping finished goods
* Perform the duties of Solids Production Associate I (Packing and Filling)
* Perform other functions and/or tasks where needed in the Production Department to meet service needs.
Position Details:
Plant Location: McDonough, GA
Work week and shift:
* 1st Shift (Monday Friday; 6:00am 2:00pm)
* 2nd shift (Monday Friday; 2:00pm 10:00pm)
Wage: $22.70 (Starting Rate)
* Lateral transfers planned starting wage rate will be no less than their current rate. An additional $1.00 will be added to the above stated starting rates.
* Employees currently making more than the base rate plus $1.00 will not receive the $1.00 add-on. They will move to solids production at the current rate.
Minimum Qualifications:
* High School degree or equivalent
* Ability to read and follow standards and detailed instructions.
* Knowledge of TPM with emphasis on AM/PM.
* Exhibits initiative, ownership behavior and eagerness to learn new skills and technologies.
* Basic process and mechanical knowledge to operate batch systems, pumps, read meters, understand basic QC data, and to track mixing, packaging and quality information (mix logs, batch adjustments, etc.).
* Ability to be fork truck certified and to use other manual and automatic material moving equipment.
* Ability to perform basic QC tests (take samples, perform pH tests)
* Ability to learn and perform the duties of Solids Production Associate I. Ability to train others.

Preferred Qualifications:
* Strong motivational skills and performance record including safety, quality, attendance, productivity, and adherence to rules and policies.
* Mixing experience, cast mixing experience highly preferred.
* Advanced knowledge of TPM with emphasis on AM/PM and defect identification.
* TPM experience.
* Hazmat certification
* Demonstratable MS Word and Excel literacy.
