Job Description

As a Software Engineer at John Deere in Madison, WI, you will work on a product team alongside other software engineers and software analysts to support basic product design by writing and testing code to deliver simple to complex functionality on a defined portion of the product it supports. This is an entry level role that is designed to learn, grow in competence, and develop the most basic capability needed to operate effectively in this role.

What Skills You Need

Proven experience in the design, development, testing and integration of high complex software solutions leveraging change management; specifically, with front-end designs, development (CSS, HTML, Javascript) and optimization  
Understanding of applications development environment, database, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints
Proven experience working in an Agile/Scrum team environment
Proven deep experience leveraging DevSecOps and lean development principles such as Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery; such as GitHuB and Jenkins
Deep experience with software test automation (TDD and Unit Testing Frameworks: Junit, Mockito, Cucumber, Cypress)
Working understanding of design patterns
