Job Description
Autoliv is looking to hire a Test Technician in the Test Operations Durability Lab in Auburn Hills, MI. This Test Technician is responsible for quality test results, mechanical setup and teardown of fixtures through proper utilization of lab equipment and equipment maintenance.
This position is 1st shift
Responsibilities include:
* Installation/removal of test fixtures, test components, and lab equipment as requested in the test request
* Setup and operate data acquisition system to properly collect data
* Identify data anomalies/errors after each test and take corrective action before next test
* Setup and operate environmental conditioning chamber where required
* Perform testing as per test request.
* Perform pre-test, test, and post-test documentation to according to Autoliv test/documentation procedures. Ensure that customer confidentiality is maintained
* Monitor Timing Assist Test Engineer/Test Coordinator establish completion dates for each test
Qualifications include:
* High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
* Previous Test Lab experience
* Experience with Automotive Testing/Test Requirements
* Mechanical aptitude/mechanical hands-on experience
* Skilled in using Microsoft Excel and Word
* Strong work ethic
* Willingness to work off hours / overtime
* Ability to work well with others
* Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
