The Architecture Sr Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who closely follows latest trends in own field and adapts them for application within own job and the business. Typically a small number of people within the business that provide the same level of expertise. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Accountable for significant direct business results or authoritative advice regarding the operations of the business. Necessitates a degree of responsibility over technical strategy. Primarily affects a sub-function. Responsible for handling staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team/project.

Responsibilities:

* Provides architectural vision for all IT systems, including those that support Internet applications, ensuring that architecture conforms to enterprise blueprints.
* Develops architecture, strategy, planning, and problem solving solutions on an enterprise level.
* Interfaces across several channels, acting as a visionary to proactively assist in defining direction for future projects.
* Maintains continuous awareness of business, technical, and infrastructure issues and acts as a sounding board or consultant to aid in the development of creative solutions.
* Depending on project scope, may be accountable for end-to-end results including such items as: budgeting, policy formulation as well as providing future state technology strategies for an effort.
* Interfaces with vendors to assess their technology and to guide their product roadmap based on Citi requirements.
* Exhibits in-depth knowledge of how own specialism contributes to the business and has a good understanding of the commercial environment.
* Provides thought leadership in subjects that are key to the business.
* Requires sophisticated analytical thought to resolve issues in a variety of complex situations.
* Impacts the technology function through contribution to technical direction and strategic decisions.
* Uses developed communication skills to negotiate and often at higher levels.
* Performs other job duties and functions as assigned
* Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

* Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree

Additional roles and responsibilities relevant to the role:

* Developing and enhancing full-stack observability for Hybrid, Multi-cloud deployments providing consistent view for various teams.
* Reviewing existing Observability and Monitoring solutions to uplift technology solutions to provide scale-out, robust, cost effective solutions
* Identify comprehensive risks and risk-mitigation-mapping matrix, Coordinating with the Security, Risk & Compliance teams
* Develop high-level solution specifications with attention to integration and feasibility (technical, function and financial)
* Ensure solution meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility and scalability.
* Actively seek ways to improve business software processes and interactions
* Proactive collaboration with team members to identify common challenges and by continually researching best practices in coding
* Prepare an easy to understand report detailing achieved milestones and short-term and long-term project goals
* Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers and engineers



Skills / Qualifications Required

* 10+ years of experience in architecture, designing and implementing complex solutions
* Experience in designing scalable enterprise solutions with high volume, high frequency data
* Experience in working with structured and semi-structured data, grok patterns, regex
* Good knowledge of self-serviced Monitoring solutions from - Real User Monitoring, Synthetic Monitoring, Application performance monitoring, Endpoint Monitoring, Compute and Storage monitoring.
* Experience in developing and coordinate cloud architecture across diverse areas including Application Development, Identity and Access Management, Network, Data management and Security to determine functional and non-functional requirements.
* Experience in Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bitbucket, Artifactory, JIR, ansible, Terraform, Cloud Formation Templates, Puppet etc.)
* Good knowledge of Operating Systems (Linux, Unix, Solaris, Windows, mainframe will be a plus) and Enterprise Computing
* Good Understanding of Networking (TCP/IP, IP addresses, HTTP, and DNS is an added advantage)
* Good understanding of security (knowledge of firewall and other security components) and open source technologies
* Experience working on large-scale projects, leading teams in an agile methodology.
* Experience developing software utilizing various languages including Ruby, Python, Java/J2EE, C++, PHP, .NET, GoLang, etc..
* Familiarity with HTML/CSS, JavaScript and UI/UX design
* Experience in a modern microservice framework (Spring Boot, Node.js/Express, Microprofile, Ruby on Rails, etc)
* Experience of cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, IBM) to design, create, and deploy solutions using Container/Kubernetes (Openshift, IBM Cloud Private, EKS...)
* Experience designing secure software systems based upon industry-specific specifications
