Citi established its Citi Data Management Policy and Standard (CDMP) to govern and manage data in compliance with regulatory expectations. It sets forth the minimum requirements for the implementation of a consistent and controlled approach to create and use data as a critical corporate asset. The Policy also establishes a Governance Model for Data Management, Governance and Quality across Citi. All Citi employees, contractors, and personnel with responsibility for the ownership, production, and consumption of data must manage data in accordance with the CDMP.
This position is in the US Consumer Bank, supporting its data governance related functions as outlined in the CDMP and managed by the US Consumer Analytics (USCA) team.
The Business Optimization Lead is a strategic professional who will lead the development, oversight, and execution of strategic business management and planning for the U.S. Consumer Analytics Strategic Data Management Center of Excellence to improve the team's business integration strategy, budgeting and strategic metrics development to organizational effectiveness. The U.S. Consumer Analytics function is central to the US Consumer Banks mission to be more customer-centric by supporting decision making on multiple levels. The types of problems we work on include: How are we implementing better controls? What does the outcome of implementing Citis data management policy look like to Customers?
The ideal candidate will have a proven record of accomplishment in strategic business optimization, KPI development, budgeting and increasing partner efficiencies across business and functional lines. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, sometimes at a senior level. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. This role will report directly to the SVP of Business Optimization in the Strategic Data Management Center of Excellence of U.S. Consumer Analytics.
Responsibilities:
* Support the development of Citi Data Management policy implementation strategy by partnering with Center Of Excellence colleagues and the Project Management Office to ensure consistent and efficient execution of policy implementation.
* Develop optimized KPI reporting for measurable, succinct communication at both the macro and micro levels
* Support the SVP of Business Optimization to build organizational capabilities on process and resource efficiencies
* Re-enforce best practices for the organization to ensure consistency of Business integration and process implementation
* Support the development of a consistent and efficient controls framework and drive implementation of this in partnership with Center of Excellence team members.
* Support SVP of Business Optimization in developing budget needs and tracking spend to determine areas for optimization
Qualifications:
* 7-10+ years of experience
* Experience either in strategy consulting or business optimization
* Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure and prioritize tight deadlines
* Self-motivated and prepared to grow into independent work
* Ability to drive progress with limited guidance and short turnaround times
* Ability to influence broadly and challenge conventional thinking. An influencer who communicates clearly and builds partnership and consensus, but also speaks up for the right course of action
* Ability to multi-task, highly organized, and high level of attention to detail
* People-person, meaning youve got excellent interpersonal relationship skills and early ability to cultivate and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of an organization, even in remote circumstances
* Self-confidence and exceptional communication and strategic thinking skills to engage with those reporting into C-Suite leadership, and demystify technical intricacies in language and context relevant to a broader audience
* Ability to develop high quality materials, especially written documents for senior leadership
* Curiosity to develop financial and data science acumen to shape the economic implications of decisions driven by advanced analytical data models
* Experience with MS Office tools, including strong presentation development skills (PowerPoint)
* Experience with Dashboarding tools (Tableau)
