Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

The role holder will be required to develop expert knowledge about Citi IA and establish close working links within the audit function, to ensure strong contact points for the co-ordination of MIS activities, as well as building a knowledge base of the local environment to better drive insightful reporting of the Banks internal control environment. This role will focus on supporting the target MI data architecture for Citi IAs MI needs; weekly and monthly data analysis and baseline MI production; Executive scorecard reporting, as well as MI solutions development. In addition, the role holder would be expected to provide close focused support to the Global Director of MI, and Internal Audits Chief Operating Officer.

Key Responsibilities include:

* Develop and maintain close links with supported Chief Auditors in managing their MI needs, insight-driven governance and stakeholder reporting commitments, operational MI reporting, and ad-hoc reporting needs
* Support the strategic development and implementation of a program to enhance data analytics of Citis control environment and MIS infrastructure/capabilities globally within the function
* Proactively support all IA initiatives as they relate to data analytics and MIS provided to both internal and external parties. This includes process reengineering to enable the achievement of the IA strategies and initiatives which include increasing audit outcomes and overall audit productivity
* Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of periodic briefing reports (country, product, etc.), to support Chief Auditors, and drive greater understanding of Citis control environment performance
* Work with control functions to ensure data is leveraged across the Group to ensure a higher level of intelligence
* Support IAs reporting processes for the provision of metrics for senior executive scorecards, including the maintenance and continual improvement of the MI teams Business Intelligence environment
* Work cross-functionally to establish the target data environment, ETL processes, etc., and continue to maintain, develop and enhance IAs global Business Intelligence reporting solution
* Support the month-end validation process (incl. creation of forms to capture month-end data)
* Trending of operational activity and key metrics across country, region, business unit, legal vehicle, etc.
* Monthly manual population of list file to capture data from audit reports that isnt in AIMS

Additional Key Responsibilities:

* IA Initiatives: Proactively manage and support IA initiatives as they relate to data analytics and MIS provided to both internal and external parties, as appropriate
* Continuous Improvement: Continuous improvement of current processes, to generate efficiencies and address Chief Auditor and regulatory requirements.
* Ad-hoc Reporting: Provision of ad-hoc data analytics/reports for both internal and external stakeholders (e.g. Senior Business members, Audit Committees and Regulators, as well as across the Internal Audit function)
* Data Quality: Act as a strong advocate for data quality across all IA MI data, promoting accuracy, completeness and consistency amongst users who interact with IA data in source systems.

Qualifications

* BS/BA degree or equivalent combination of education/experience in related field (Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Statistics)

Knowledge/Experience

* Relevant professional experience in financial services or related industries. Internal audit experience is a plus
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Good understanding and experience in provision of high quality MIS, delivering timely, accurate and insightful analysis under tight deadlines and potentially multiple competing priorities.
* Experience working with senior management in the definition of and delivery of reporting.
* Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
* Demonstrable ability to take initiative and operate as a dynamic change agent, identifying opportunities to implement efficiencies in current processes
* Able to conceptualize the business need and deliver an innovative approach to solutions

Technical Skills/Competencies:

* Business Intelligence development experience using either Power BI or Cognos (preferably both)
* 2+ years of demonstrable experience in T-SQL coding, including development and modification of queries, stored procedures and user defined functions to meet business requirements and achieve desired performance
* Proficiency across the MS Office suite (incl. PowerPoint). Advanced Microsoft Excel and Access is a plus
* SharePoint experience developing InfoPath forms, custom list reports, document libraries and workflows. Experience developing custom code in SharePoint Designer is a plus
* Ability to analyze complex data structures and legacy SQL code with minimal direction
* Experience operating in a manually intensive data environment, extracting information from disparate sources and transforming it into meaningful information
* Experience in the translation of manual, qualitative data, into quantifiable analytics, and then proficient in re-qualifying such analytics into information and insight
* Strong coordination and project management skills; must be able to define business requirements and create robust technical and process documentation to support activities
* Ability to analyze and succinctly summarize content, and ensure consistent messaging.
* Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate across the function on data quality, data validation and MI reporting deliverables.
