DESCRIPTION:

Simon & Schuster is looking for a Demand Planning Manager to oversee all frontlist responsibilities for one of our primary imprints

Responsibilities include:

* Manage all aspects of frontlist titles for imprint(s)
* Review and analyze sales estimates to set first print quantities and build quantities for prepacks
* Follow up with Sales on missing orders prior to release
* Monitor presales and orders to make adjustments to printings and allocations throughout the release process
* Coordinate the release with Production and Transportation
* Daily review of incoming order for key accounts
* Manage key titles post-release
* Review and analyze sales data post release to make reprint decisions and allocation decisions
* Create point of sale projections for key accounts
* Make allocation recommendations
* Inventory reviews
* Weekly OSI title review
* Monthly returns disposition reviews with Publisher
* Oversee backlist
* Work in coordination with Backlist Demand Planning Analyst
* Ebook pricing
* Print on demand
* Digital short run

QUALIFICATIONS:

5+ years of experience in Inventory Planning or Operations

College degree preferred

Strong computer skills
