Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

* Act as the internal and external focal point for all matters relating to procurement of equipment for up to 10 renewable energy projects at a time
* Responsible for meeting project schedules, budgets, and tracking procurement savings
* Ensure major equipment purchase orders are carried out from signing to final payment including internal approvals, planning, tracking, delivery, receipt/inspections, vendor performance, and payments
* Managing purchase requests through the approvals process
* Responsible for coordinating with Project Management and Engineering to plan, assemble, and execute detailed vendor Task Orders
* AES representative with equipment vendors after the purchase order has been issued including scheduling regular vendor business and performance reviews
* Review and manage vendor transportation & logistics strategies
* Track, manage and ensure vendor KPIs in accordance with project expectations, provisions of the purchase orders, and framework contracts
* Resolve issues as they arise, including the negotiation and execution of change orders to support changes in projects schedules and design
* Process invoices and lien waivers to facilitate timely payments through accounting
* Support the Project Management and Finance groups to track payments and forecast cash flows for major equipment on assigned projects
* Set up and manage procurement folders for 3rd party diligence (i.e., EPC and Finance)
* Responsible for responding to lender and investor diligence related to equipment procurement on assigned projects
* Manage warranty claims through COD, and provide ad-hoc support to the Operations group
* Cultivate positive relationships inside and outside of the company
* Represent the company by demonstrating corporate values and culture
* Other job-related duties and projects as assigned
* Up to 10% travel required.

* Exceptional organizational, communication, decision making/problem solving, analytical, relationship and time management skills
* Detail orientated and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
* Takes initiative to identify what needs to be done, doing it before asked, and follows up with other to ensure commitments have been fulfilled.
* Team player with strong initiative, able to work autonomously to complete tasks but equally able to enlist the support of cross-functional team members and external suppliers and partners

Minimum Qualifications:

* 2-3 years of experience in tactical procurement (buyer / planner), project management, logistics (transportation), or supply chain role
* Technical knowledge and skill in utility scale solar construction will be highly considered
* High proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
* Working knowledge in SAP or similar ERP systems

Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, logistics, supply chain management, or business operations
