This position is part of our Signal & Power Solutions segment; Connection Systems business unit.

Summary (About this Position):

The Connection Systems Brookhaven Operations Team has an exciting opportunity for candidates seeking a Process Engineer position to maintain the vision systems and PLC controls within the plant (vision system COGNEX, PLC Allen Bradley, etc.) and also develop initiatives/projects for continuous improvement.

Key Job Responsibilities:

* Provide maintenance support within the plant

* Perform engineering changes (e.g. new programs, PPAP, material change, new P/Ns programming, etc.)

* Provide quality support to improve scrap and avoid quality complaints

* Ensure appropriate interaction with Flow 4 Engineering to release new equipment in the plant

* Ensure improvements to current equipment

* Ensure compliance with customer specific requirements

Must Haves (i.e. Basic Qualifications):

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

* Previous experience in programming (e.g. Ladder, Logic, C, Vision Systems, HMI, etc.)

Nice to Haves (i.e. Preferred Qualifications):

* Master's degree in Electrical Engineering

* Knowledgeable in reading electrical and mechanical drawings

* Previous experience using AutoCAD or Solid works

* Basic understanding of tool room processes (e.g. milling, lathe, grinder, etc.)

* Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Project, Excel, Outlook, Skype, Teams, Visio, etc.)

* Strong results-orientation and execution characteristics

* Resourcefully innovative and adapts in a rapidly changing environment

* Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization

* Excellent oral and written communication skills with a strong ability to work with a team

* Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and accomplish multiple conflicting tasks, make intelligent, timely decisions and solve problems independently
