Position Responsibilities:

Experimenting, evaluating, and developing innovative algorithms for high-performance robotic systems. Executing technical programs from concepts to proof of concept for fulfilment operations. Designing experiments to resolve ambiguity inherent in robotic systems. Inventing ways to demonstrate new functionality in the context of early R & D. Staying abreast of the latest research and rapidly evaluating new approaches.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Position Requirements:

PhD in computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, robotics, or related field and one year of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Employer will accept a masters degree in computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, robotics, or related field and four years of experience in the job offered or related occupation as equivalent to the PhD and one year of experience. Must have at least one year of experience in the following skills: developing object-oriented, C++ software; robotic manipulation including experience with machine learning for vision-guided robotics and grasp planning; troubleshooting and debugging robotic systems and interactions between hardware and software. Domestic/international travel required up to 15%
