DESCRIPTION

Come join a creative team in Amazon Web Services (AWS)! We are looking for Non-Rack Technician to join our rapidly expanding team. The position will help ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels of data center operations. This position involves hardware and network diagnostics followed by physical repair.

All candidates should be committed to working effectively on a team environment. Work prioritization, organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to react quickly are critical to being successful. In addition to hardware and network repair candidates will install equipment, create documentation, innovate solutions, and fix complex problems within the Data Center Space.

AWS GovCloud Region:

Effective May 15, 2017, logical access to the AWS GovCloud region will be restricted to Amazon employees who are U.S. Citizens. (GovCloud may NOT be accessed from outside of the United States

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

1+ year of Computer Hardware experience.
1+ years of Computer Networking experience.
1+ years of Linux Operating Systems experience.
U.S. Citizenship (GovCloud)
All physical requirements are expected with reasonable accommodations. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50lbs and or work in elevated locations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
Industry standard certifications (CompTIA, Cisco, etc.)
Data center experience
Hard drive experience
Understanding of server operating systems, Linux based troubleshooting such as firmware flashes, and bios configurations
Experience with a ticketing system
Work well with others and communicate/promote cross team functionality
