DESCRIPTION
AWS Identity is looking for an experienced Program Manager with a strong delivery record and proven project management skills, to own business operations for a globally distributed team. The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Identity team innovates, builds, and operates the identity, authentication, and authorization stack for the AWS cloud. We rely on large scale data analysis techniques including machine learning and automated reasoning to help customers set access controls across all their AWS environments. These tools help customers set the right access controls for their AWS environments without needing to become security experts.
Successful applicants will have experience building/defining metrics to be successful and using them to adjust your plans, prioritize opportunities to build the systems to deliver goals. Candidates will also be analytical, highly-organized, accustomed to working with technical teams, able to bridge the gap between business and tech, clear communicators, and interested in getting deep into the details of our business. Our mission is to push technical boundaries to enable AWS customers to run their business workloads confidently and securely on AWS. We are large and predominately technical team operating in Seattle, Toronto, Vancouver, Berlin, Herndon and Arlington. 1. Business Operations (weekly, monthly quarterly)
2. Strategic Planning including all meetings, documents and deliverables and the coordination of meetings including offsites.
3. Space Planning to ensure everyone has the workspace they need
4. Headcount Tracking including BIS, Attrition, Hiring
5. Coordination of College Hiring, Apprenticeship Programs (Military), Intern Programs

Responsibilities Will Include:
Own development and reporting of headcount and business metrics, analyzing data/metrics and identifying and managing risks/defects
Drive the College/Intern/Military hiring programs across sites
Work as the main POC for space planning across the Org
Regular communication to leadership teams and stakeholder groups on progress against goals.
Responding to an agile and constantly evolving global environment.
Manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization/time management and problem-solving skills
Identify success metrics (in partnership with stakeholders), and establishing reporting cadences.
Perform hands on project management, such as development of project plans, scheduling and planning, monitoring and status reporting against planned deliverables, benefits and milestones, development and management of risk, launch, etc.
Engage directly with recruiting team stakeholders to understand business needs
Work with tech partners as voice of business to collect and document business and functional requirements to develop, enhance, and implement relevant programs
Measure outcomes and outputs of projects and process improvement endeavors. Leverage quantitative results to inform direction of the business
Communicating effectively to recruiting teams and business stakeholders to monitor and drive adoption, collect feedback, and track enhancement requests.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Qualifications:
8+ years of relevant program execution work experience in multi-site/geography environment
8+ years of experience delivering cross functional projects with technical and non-technical teams
8+ years of experience in program/project management experience
Bachelors degree
Ability to proactively identify upcoming risks, issues, and bottlenecks and resolve issues that sometimes cross departmental boundaries
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
Proven track record of sound decision making, taking ownership, and delivering results
Ability to build strong relationships and influence others while working in a cross functional environment, including senior members of the business
Excellent written and verbal communication skills that convey complex ideas in a simplified manner
Confident and skilled in using Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook)
Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
Experience managing multiple competing priorities and engaging technical & non-technical stakeholders
Ability to influence at all levels
Analytical and data-driven
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA or other post-graduate degree
Successful record of building, improving and running operational business processes globally, ability to drive program effectiveness and high levels of customer satisfaction
Demonstrated program ownership and consistent delivery on commitments - great organizational skills with exceptional follow through and attention to detail
Well-honed analytical skills, comfortable working with data and developing insights from it, experience establishing and tracking program metrics, and experience with experimental design
Ability to interface with all levels of the organization, specific strength in influencing decision makers and managing expectations
Experience identifying and resolving complex issues, and assuming leadership roles in unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances - solid sense of accountability and sound personal judgment
Quantitative background with high attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
Experience leading global or regional program initiatives and/or process improvement efforts; technical and non-technical
Bias for action, excellent attention to detail and relentless commitment to follow-through
Ability to multi-task and handle various projects simultaneously to drive timely results
