DESCRIPTION
Are you Customer Obsessed and want to help support Amazons global customers? Customer Service Finance is looking for a Finance Manager with proven business partnering experience to support the Worldwide Defect Elimination team, whose vision is to drive Amazon towards a perfect customer experience by eliminating defects and in turn generate concession savings to Amazon.
In this role, you will work in close partnerships with multiple cross-functional business and finance teams to define how concessions are measured, provide analytical support, implement financial controllership, and influence prioritization of defect elimination projects. The successful candidate possesses strong financial acumen, is collaborative and comfortable with ambiguity, and thinks big to establish standards and drive worldwide stakeholder engagement models with scale in mind.
Key Responsibilities:
Own, enhance, and report the calculation and the net concession costs for Amazon
Help reduce defects by provide visibility of concession costs to the defect owners and the finance counterparts to drive alignment of project prioritization and quantify financial benefits
Develop and enhance the existing analytical framework to help analyze, identify, and surface emerging defect trends
Partner with BI and Accounting to maintain controllership over concession data integrity
Potentially manage direct reports
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) or equivalent.
7+ years of finance experience, or masters degree and 5 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Strong technical Excel skills and financial acumen
Experience working with reporting tools (examples: SQL, Cognos, Tableau, QuickSight)
Solid interpersonal skills with ability to influence decisions through effective verbal and written communication based on data-driven analysis
