Amazon WorkSpaces and AppStream are revolutionizing the way people are working from home and are looking for founding engineers for a new cloud native product. We are a brand-new team in the End User Computing space within AWS. Our mission is to empower Enterprises adapt to Work-from-Anywhere future.

From an engineering perspective, it is a great opportunity to build distributed systems, using industry leading AWS constructs such as EC2, EBS, DynamoDB, EMR and SWF.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C including object-oriented design
1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Previous experience developing distributed systems or cloud native applications
Ability to work well with people and be both highly motivated and motivating.
Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast paced environment
Excellent leadership, verbal and written communication skills
Experience developing cloud native applications is a plus
Meets/exceeds Amazons leadership principles requirements for this role
Meets/exceeds Amazons functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
