The AWS Partner Network (APN) includes tens of thousands of consulting partners, systems-integrators, technology partners, ISVs, distributors, and value-added resellers that are using AWS as their cloud delivery platform around the world.
Our Worldwide Public Sector partner team is expanding! As the Global Validation Specialist for Public Sector, you will work with AWS Partners that cover our customers in the Federal, State/Local Government, Education, and Nonprofit market segments. You will have the exciting opportunity to work with our AWS Partners in these rapidly growing markets, manage the day-to-day of the APN Customer Engagements validation program, and work cross-functionally with other AWS business partners around the world. Your role will work with AWS Partners and AWS Sales to ensure validated opportunities are at a high caliber for AWS engagement and provide appropriate details for customer engagement.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Review and validate partner opportunity submissions
Manage numerous partner requests and time demands concurrently
Support training of AWS sellers and APN partners on opportunity management in accordance with ACE requirements
Document and gather best practices and trends to continuously improve the validation process
Build strong partnerships across internal and external stakeholders to drive roadmap and program evolution
Resolve conflict related to opportunity management
Utilize CRM systems (SalesForce.com), data warehousing and other analytic tools to establish a sound record of work with each partner and customer
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor degree or equivalent experience required
2+ years experience with enterprise technology, public entity procurement requirements and channel/partner management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Strong organizational skills and attention-to-detail with the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
Strong analytical skills
Affinity for complex and creative problem solving and the desire to create and build new processes
Experience supporting Federal or Government customers
Understanding of Cloud computing technology and a utility pricing model
Excellent written and oral presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross functional audiences
Adept at using and customizing sales or customer relationship management tools such as Salesforce.com
