Job Summary
The Marketing Strategy group is responsible for the development of programs that allow brands and ADS to reward customer behavior through the development of Loyalty and Value Proposition programs. This includes customer research, thought leadership, and project management with our brand and internal partners from inception to completion of each program.
The Marketing Research Strategist is an internal consultant to business partners in translating business objectives to research and analysis, directs the strategic market research and data analyses performed by the customer insights team and works with analytic teams within the organization to develop a data integration strategy.
The incumbent in this role is adept at taking an integrated, story-driven approach in developing perspectives to elevate the impact of insights within the organization. Has experience in a broad array of research methodologies, including strategic work to determine unmet consumer needs and how to best position and differentiate product offerings, quantitative concept development and optimization techniques, and tracking programs to assess brand partner performance in a competitive context. The role marries customer data with analytics and competitive intelligence to elevate the impact of research and analysis within the organization. It also entails directing the work of an offshore employee and acting as a mentor and leader to elevate the skill sets of the entire team in quantitative best practices.

Essential Job Functions
Relationship Ownership: Works collaboratively with key internal business partners to understand their business objectives and translates these objectives into actionable research to drive strategic and tactical decision making.
Vendor and Internal Management: designs and executes strategic research involving quantitative analysis. These analyses include quantitative assessments to help brand partners understand how to achieve relevance and brand clarity and best differentiate.
Manages: manages primary and secondary research studies. Provides direction on how to define study objectives, determine methodology, conduct research and analyze results. Presents the research findings and implications to internal and external brand partners. Leverages a story-driven approach to turn insights from the team into strategic recommendations for the business. Integrates diverse information across data sources to form a perspective to support business needs, including tying call volume data to customer behavior and cost impacts and conducting other analyses from data integration. Works with functional area business counterparts to develop interactive dashboards and research reporting. Oversees the work of offshore analyst in developing capacity planning analysis and reporting.
Develops Requests for Proposals (RFPs): research including content such as: business objective, research objective, methodology, respondent criteria, key question areas, timing and costs.

Direct Reports: 0, maybe have day-to-day oversight of two associates in Bangalore
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative Research
Six years work experience required in Survey development, Focus Group Management, 2nd and 3rd party research, Vendor Relationship Management, must have been a leader of people before
Preferred Experience:
Master Degree in Economics, Statistics, Psychology, Research or equivalent experience
Six years or more work expertise in consumer behavior & mindset. Experience with secondary research and primary research/analysis methodologies. Ability to work independently and with various work teams. Experience in retail, consumer behavior or credit services is a plus. Proficient in statistical modeling, advanced knowledge of statistical software packages: STATA, SPSS, SAS EG, and Tableau. Skilled in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, telling the data story and drawing implications from research and analysis. Experience with Conjoint, MaxDiff, and TURF methods.
