The Albertsons Companies Data and Insights Center of Excellence, a newly formed team reporting into the Customer and Digital Team, is charged with building capabilities and solutions that leverage our data assets and analytic approaches to drive transformative insights to drive business strategy. The Market and Customer Intelligence Team, sitting within this COE, has opening for a senior Insights Program Manager that has passion for driving organizational adoption of new tools, insights, and capabilities to influence and measure strategy. This position is located either in Boise, Idaho or Pleasanton, California.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Responsible for planning and execution of strategic Market and Customer Intelligence projects
* Assume accountability for the development and delivery of data and insight Project Management needed to connect work across our data teams, IT, Insights and Business Units.
* Work closely with IT and Data Project leads who is responsible for overall solution, high level project sizing and oversight for execution and implementation.
* Identifies and creates solutions that ensure we build the right knowledge management infrastructure to ensure our insights and new capabilities are easily accessible for organization.
* Collaborates on best practice in insight / data visualization and packaging of deliverables required to update stakeholders and articulate impact of data-driven opportunities to the business.
* Foster a strong work environment that rewards individual and team efforts; encourages creativity while maintaining high caliber productivity and quality.
* Ability to handle multiple projects at any given time.
* Ability to do project planning, budget estimation and management, resource planning and assessment, financial planning, and risk assessment.
* Adoption of existing Project Management and Knowledge Management best practices, including the proficient use of industry standard tools, technologies, and methodologies.
* Well-organized, detail oriented, has great communication skills and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
* Flexibility and ability to work collaboratively within a matrix, 'virtual' environment.
* Demonstrated ability to work with external vendors to include supporting due diligence work associated with RFP's and new vendor capability assessments.
* Requires approximately 10% travel depending upon project specifics and business locations.
* Can drive accountability through effective communication and collaboration.

Qualifications:

* 4-year degree (Business Administration, Insights, Marketing, Information Systems,or relational functional field) and/or equivalent combination of education or work experience.
* 15 + years of Project Manager Experience
* 3-5 years of Program Manager Experience
* 10 + years of experience with MS Project
* Experience with Agile development preferred.
* PMP certification preferred.
* Experience on working on large scale, multi-faceted projects that touch on data, IT and general insight packaging and synthesis work that our team delivers across the business in either dashboards, PPTs and White Papers.
* Former specialty consulting firm or Big 4 experience desirable
* The Sr. Program Manager will be interfacing with Executive Level Management and doing process design work
Candidates that are strategic thinkers will do well in the role, but open to "be in the weeds" as needed.
* Retail experience a plus but not required for this opportunity.

In 1939, Joe Albertson, a former Safeway district manager, took $5,000 he saved and $7,500 he borrowed from his wife’s Aunt Bertie, and partnered with L.S. Skaggs to open his first Albertsons store on 16th and State Streets in Boise, Idaho.
