General Purpose of Job

The Consultant, Portfolio and Credit Risk Analytics, Commercial Mortgage Loans will support the development of a commercial mortgage loan (CML) portfolio surveillance and credit risk management framework for Lincoln Financials $15B CML portfolio.

S/he will direct, develop and perform complex data engineering and business intelligence analysis required of these efforts while effectively project planning, communicating findings, and providing recommendations to management as necessary. S/he will analyze business processes, data integrity, and reporting to propose and implement effective changes required for business intelligence quality assurance. S/he will develop Tableau dashboards and engage with Information Technology (IT) business partners as necessary.

Responsibilities

Portfolio and Risk Management

* Manages the newly developed Commercial Mortgage data and reporting framework
* Enables rapid information gathering and presentation for senior level stakeholders.
* Develops dashboards, reports, analytics to meet the needs of the CML team, including benchmarking to external data where applicable.
* Conducts data integrity analysis, including determining and implementing methodology changes, reviewing internal experience, and identifying material trends/changes, and delivering information to key stakeholders (incl. Risk Management and Investments) for use in their processes.
* Supports data analysis, including complex data engineering and dashboard development in partnership with management reporting and data science teams.
* Inventory, review, analyze, document, and clearly communicate all CML reporting through a rigorous and cross-functional data governance process.
* Identifies and directs the implementation of process improvements that significantly improve data quality across the team, department and/or business unit.
* Provides subject matter expertise to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on complex assignments/projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
* Collaborates with business partners and the broader analytics organization (Advanced Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Governance) to lead value-driven data insights aligned with the firms strategic priorities.
* Identifies and analyzes complex developments, variances, and trends in financial and business operations then formulates and communicates recommendations to support business initiatives and management decisions.
* Educates and mentors both team members and business partners on Business Intelligence concepts and best practices.
* Ensures data integrity within dashboards and reports and develops procedures for increasing the quality and accuracy of information from multiple data sources.
* Communicates regularly with team members and business stakeholders to gather requirements and champion business analytics.
* Understands vision, goals, and direction of the organization



Experience

* Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Economics, or other quantitative major (Minimum Required)
* 3-5+ Years of data analytics and/or reporting experience including development in Tableau. (Required)
* Experience with SQL and/or SAS (Strongly preferred)
* Experience with Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Python, R, Tableau, Java, or C++ (Preferred)
* Commercial real estate and/or asset management experience (Preferred)
