Description:
This position requires experience with both print and digital media. The successful candidate is a creative thinker familiar with communications and marketing campaigns and is comfortable taking direction from written and verbal creative briefs. Must be familiar with corporate branding standards and able to work creatively within those constructs. Will support proposals, publications, marketing and communications collateral, and design for social media and web applications. Coordinates with team members, internal and external suppliers, clients and supports the entire team as needed. May research new or related technologies in graphic design and related systems and software. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Portfolios are required and those demonstrating conceptual thinking will be given prime consideration.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience. Considered experienced, but still a learner.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States as a permanent resident.
- Intermediate/Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat)
- Proficient utilizing Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to provide conceptual graphic design for publications, proposals, social media, and web applications
- Conceptual thinker able to develop and comfortable presenting creative campaigns
- Experience producing large, complex documents through production and reproduction
- Knowledge of pre-press for digital, large format and offset printing
- Knowledge of design parameters for social media and web applications
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to work overtime when needed (MUST)
- Willingness and ability to travel as required in support of mission (MUST)
- Portfolio required for consideration.
