The nation received a White House mandate to place humans back on the surface of the Moon by 2024. Lockheed Martin Space is onboard to be part of this historic event and is looking to build a core team of highly-motivated engineers excited to be working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This is a rare opportunity for you to help NASA meet the challenges of the first step in achieving that long-term presence at the Moon and the stepping point for human missions to Mars.

In this position, you will be a part of a multi-disciplinary team of Command and Control (C2) developers working together to produce the complete integrated C2 product. You will be responsible for the development, integration, testing, and verification of the C2 SW to create a product that will directly impact mission success.

You will also have the opportunity to support IRAD, unclassified and classified projects. Along with developing new capabilities to meet program milestones, you will create software engineering artifacts that lead to new business wins. You will also get the chance to demo for the United States Government (USG) and cross-corporation events.

Candidates must be eligible to obtain access to classified USG information or already hold clearances.

Basic Qualifications:
- Demonstrated proficiency in software development
- Demonstrated command and control software development
- Must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified TS/SCI USG information.
Desired Skills:
- Domain Experience and/or Understanding: Command and Control (C2), Mission Management, Battle Field Management/Command and Control (BMC2), Planning and Scheduling, Orbital Mechanics, SSA (Space Situational Awareness)
- Controller Experience
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and work in a collaborative environment
