The MarshMcLennan Corporate Finance team provides FP&A support to corporate functions like Technology, Finance, HR, Legal, Real Estate and Executive teams. As a Global Finance Business Partner in the Technology Finance team, you will managing the financial planning, analysis and business decision support for the AMS Division. This position has a global focus and is responsible for all financial planning analysis activities for the AMS division. The first 100 days will focus on learning our organization, understanding the matrixed environment and building relationships with key stakeholders. As your knowledge increases, we will look forward to expanding your scope to include developing and delivering financial guidance and support to our executive leaders. We will count on you to:
* Develop and maintain strong relationships/partnership with the Technology Leaders as well as Corporate finance staff
* Partner with Technology Leaders in the budgeting / financial planning activities for their respective groups using department objectives and initiatives while aligning with Corporate guidance
* Provide insight to Technology leads on financial performance, risks and trends
* In conjunction with the Technology CFO, support Technology Leaders, on due diligence activities related to infrastructure programs and services as well as Business acquisitions/dispositions
* Provide Technology team, Corporate finance and Business finance with relevant, consistent and timely management information
* Provide analytical support and financial oversight to the Technology partner(s)
* Coordinate budgets and forecasts, as required, Provide analytics, trends and prepare budget review presentations for use by the Technology CFO and/or Technology Leader(s) as required
* Coordinate month-end close process by reviewing recurring/standard and ad hoc reports, develop understanding of our P&L structure and variances to budget and prior year
* Review data extracts from MarshMcLennans data warehouse to support key strategic initiatives
* Assist in the preparation of financial presentations using a variety of formats, displays, reproduction of charts, graphs, and econometric models
* Proactively suggest and implement changes to streamline processes and improve effectiveness of support that Finance provides
* Research, identify, and explain expense and operational variances to highlight areas of risk and opportunities to improve
What you need to have:
* Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, MBA preferred
* 5-10 years in financial planning & analysis, controllership or related experience in a global operation
* Exceptional skills in financial modeling to execute the forecast, financial planning and reporting processes. Ability to take on special projects as well as ongoing activity
* Self-motivated with the ability to function independently in a fast pace environment
* Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
