Job Description
The Senior Counsel supports the Chief Compliance Officer and Managing Counsel in the implementation of McDonalds global compliance program. The Senior Counsel will be accountable for the implementation and administration of McDonald's global compliance initiatives; providing guidance and counsel in the area of compliance-related matters and regulatory trends; the continuous improvement of McDonalds compliance and ethics program; investigating reports of non-compliance; and ensuring employee awareness of McDonald's Standards of Business Conduct.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Support the Global Compliance Office by executing initiatives and achieving goals to continue to build and preserve McDonald's culture of compliance and integrity.

Collaborate with global functions, segment leadership and markets to develop and evolve policy within McDonalds. Draft and review compliance-related materials including manuals, procedures, standards and directives that support the ethics initiative and business practices.

Develop plans and recommendations to ensure implementation of long-term strategies for advancing and strengthening compliance objectives globally, including McDonalds anti-corruption program.

Build strong partnerships across global functions and business units to drive implementation of, and compliance with, business practice requirements and expectations while leveraging local resources.

Proactively interact with employees, suppliers and developmental licensees to communicate McDonalds compliance-related requirements and respond to compliance and ethics inquiries.

Oversee and/or conduct investigations into reported allegations of violations of the Standards of Business Conduct.

Some Travel required.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements

* JD degree or equivalent required
* 7+ years of relevant experience
* Practice experience in global compliance, including anti-corruption program implementation, a plus
* Prior in-house experience a plus
