Ideal candidate will have accounting experience including preparing accounting entries.

SUMMARY

Perform financial and accounting functions including but not limited to preparing PeopleSoft GL and KK entries, new fund set ups and support the management of designated and restricted funds.

Accounting entries Prepare PeopleSoft GL and KK entries associated with designated and restricted funds as well as other fund groups and fund types as appropriate.

New Chartfield set ups Receive, review, approve or otherwise act on new fund requests received by Research Finance including seeking appropriate guidance from team members and managers.

Chartfield Management Perform overall designated and restricted fund group management including demonstration of fund accounting principles and institutional fund expenditure guidelines.

Start-Up Database Maintain institutional start-up fund database to ensure accurate allocations of start-up and retention funds.

Faculty Departures Collaborate with other administrative areas to ensure chartfields related to faculty departures are handled in accordance to institutional policies and procedures.

Other Ad-hoc Functions Other duties as assigned to further support departmental, division, and institutional objectives.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field. Two years of accountant experience required with a Bachelor's in Business Administration or related field. One year of accountant experience required with a Bachelor's in Accounting. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.

Preferred Experience: Experience with PeopleSoft, including Financial and OBIEE.
