Our Company's Bioprocess is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Scientist to advance genetic characterization capability for mammalian cells. The Senior Scientist will support biotherapeutics development pipeline and technology innovation in areas such as cytology, epigenetics, and various functional genetic assays (CRISPR, siRNA, shRNA). The successful candidate should have an in-depth understanding of genomics, cell signaling, and molecular biology. Candidates should be well-versed in manipulating with big datasets, such as those produced via Illumina Sequencing, and downstream analysis with R or Python. Experience with high throughput genetic tools such as Nanostrings, ddPCR, and Luminex is required. The successful candidate will have exceptional experience with suspension cell cultures such as CHO and primary lymphocytes, and associated characterization methods, such as flow-cytometry, confocal microscopy, and multi-color FISH (mFISH). Experience with organoid models will be advantageous. Candidates will be expected to push the boundaries of what is possible in functional genomics and modern molecular biology and be willing to stay well-read in bleeding edge technologies and procedures. The selected candidate will also be expected to work independently, including proactive planning, trouble shooting and successful execution of complex experimental protocols.

Education Minimum Requirements:

* PhD in Genetics, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or similar with at least 2 years of previous industry experience in a high-throughput setting.

Required Experience and Skills:

* Demonstrated experience in the understanding of molecular biology and functional genetics.

* A proven track-record using high throughput genetic tools such as Nanostrings, ddPCR, qPCR, Luminex, etc.

* Previous experiencing using statistical packages and tools (R, Python) to characterize and manipulate big omics data from Illumina platforms.

* Exceptional experience with characterization tools such as confocal microscopy and flow-cytometry.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

* In depth knowledge and high capability of using functional genetic tools such as siRNA, CRISPR, shRNA and CRISPR modalities.

* Experience with organoid and 3D culture models.

* Well versed in cytology and multi-color probe visualization via mFISH.
