This position will also have the opportunity to apply and integrate innovation into our cell culture medium development, particularly, advancing platform media for fed batch and perfusion processes, developing media concentrates and new media formats for implementation in manufacturing, and supporting deeper understanding of the relationship between media and cell metabolism.
Primary Duties:
* Support pipeline programs for first-in-human and commercial processes, efficiently developing high yield, robust, and scalable cell culture processes.
* Scale-up and technology transfer of bioprocesses to manufacturing facilities.
* Advance fed batch and perfusion media formulations by leveraging spent media analysis and Design of Experiments approaches, while expanding knowledge of cell metabolism.
* Promote implementation of media in manufacturing and innovate new approaches to improve and streamline manufacturing operations.
* Collaborate cross-functionally to drive results and meet project timelines.
* Document experimental results in reports and present technical and scientific findings internally and externally.
* Contribute to a safe and compliant laboratory work environment.

* Highly motivated individual who enjoys working in the lab and in a team environment.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
* Strong scientific knowledge and background in cell biology, cell metabolism, or process engineering related to microbial or mammalian cell cultures.
* Demonstrated capabilities in understanding and operating bioanalytical techniques to characterize microbial or cell culture processes
* Demonstrated ability to think critically with excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
* Experience operating bioreactors and/or optimizing media for performance of mammalian cell cultures.
