This position will be at Microns Northern Virginia facility in Manassas, where Micron will invest $3 billion dollars to expand production. As part of the expansion, Micron will establish a global research and development center in Manassas for memory and storage solutions primarily focused on the automotive, industrial and networking markets.

As a Product Quality Assurance (PQA) Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for Product Quality improvements through EFA [Electrical Failure Analysis] and Bench Characterization using Micron Internal Tools and technique for newer technology Products. PQA engineer goal is drive for continuous improvement of the quality of product delivered by MTV and exceed expectations of the business plan and external customers. This will involve interfacing with Fab Process Integration, Design Engineering, Global Quality and Product Engineering to improve Yields, reliability and manufacturability of products.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Completing device characterization for improved operation and testability, and detailed circuit analysis to improve end-user performance and reliability.
* Circuit simulation, failure analysis, assistance with both internal qualification and customer implementation, yield optimization, and Test program development at the wafer, component, and module steps.
* Driving key deliverables and improvement programs for Micron internal quality metrics
* Working in collaboration with multiple engineering groups including Process Module Area/RDA/Manufacturing to help identify existing containment action and work towards continuous improvement action
* Applies advanced principles to detect and evaluate reliability issues.
* Utilizes Failure mode effect analysis and 8D processes for improving product quality and continuously reducing the quality and reliability failure modes.
* Proactively identify potential quality and reliability concerns, drive actions to mitigate, contain deviated material.
* Applies advanced principles and past knowledge of reliability to evaluate and act on potential reliability issues.
* Able to link Product layout and how it relates to process marginality and product testing.
* Knowledge of Electrical device characteristics.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Understanding of layout and schematic cadence tool
* Understanding of semiconductor device physics and operation and product reliability.
* Understanding of electrical device parameters and their relation to the fabrication process.
* Understanding of statistical methods, data analysis and data mining.
* Understanding of semiconductor/memory chip reliability mechanisms.
* Understanding of volume data extraction technique and analysis skillset
* Problem solving ability and analytical thinking skillset

Education Qualification:

* Minimum Degree Required: B.S or its equivalent
* Academic Discipline(s): Electrical or Electronics Engineering
* Experience required: Additional Semiconductor Experience would be plus but not must
