This position will be at Microns Northern Virginia facility in Manassas, where Micron will invest $3 billion dollars to expand production. As part of the expansion, Micron will establish a global research and development center in Manassas for memory and storage solutions primarily focused on the automotive, industrial and networking markets.
Job Responsibilities
* Provide support for operational issues and root cause analysis with basic knowledge of the systems
* Analyze system capabilities and future requirements during scenario evaluations supporting lead engineers
* Complete scope of work documents in support of scenario analysis that correspond to the estimated cost estimates in support of lead engineers
* Support design reviews for base build systems in your area of responsibility insuring specifications are met and cost reduction improvements are identified.
* Support tool install designs for the systems that connect to those tools insuring specifications are met and cost reduction improvements are identified.
* Review and support capacity analysis for your systems tracking against actual data from the facility. Input this data into the CUPS
System Problem and Data Analysis
* Identify root cases of equipment or systems performance shifts
* Use statistics and data analysis to identify and resolve process and equipment problems
* Recommend process or equipment changes to improve Facility Metrics
* Applies analytical problem solving tools to resolve issues and make data driven decisions
* Identifies risk analysis for your systems
Equipment and Facility Processes
* Provide solutions to real time equipment and process problems
* Evaluate new or modified equipment
* Use, identify and implement equipment and process control methods
* Develop and implement long term improvements in equipment or processes that result in cost reduction, improved reliability and safety improvements
* Implement lessons learned to improve and prevent future problems
* Identifies and evaluates interactions between equipment and processes and resolve potential problems
Projects
* Participate in or manage specific water/waste water projects
Environmental, Health, Safety and Security
* Follow all safety and environmental procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
* Be an active participant in the EHSS program by reporting all EHSS-related concerns or problems immediately to the appropriate individual (ERT, Supervision, etc.)
* Be proactive in reducing incidents of personal injuries, safety hazards or environmental releases.
Cost Reduction
* As a Team Member at Micron, you are responsible for reducing costs associated with your area. This responsibility may include owning and completing cost reduction projects, identifying cost effective sustaining/manufacturing improvements, minimizing regular expenditures, and helping to promote a cost conscious culture
