Expectations of Sr Product Data Specialist(DS)

Add/Edit yarn IDs in the Yarn Product Master (YPM)

* * * To develop yarn ID, DS must research existing/active IDs in YPM using AS400 and SQL to avoid duplication.
* DS must understand yarn composition and physical properties to correctly document twist, hs process, owner code, dpf, denier, polymer, reclaim %, etc.
* All new IDs require a yarn recipe to be built in the Component Cross Reference file (YA003). DS must correctly build yarn recipe using YO database or Test Manager to correctly identify extruded or finished yarn ID.
* Planning may request an intermediate (WIP) ID to split cabling and heatset processing between two or more mills. In most cases, DS will build a single non heatset ID (NHS), then add an alt recipe for the finished ID and primary recipe for the new WIP sku.
* DS is expected to manage YPM for all soft surface divisions, residential, rug, and commercial.
* DS is expected to add/edit all SKUs (stock keeping unit) in the yarn product master; face yarn, backing yarns, experimental IDs, resins, flake, waste, etc.
* DS is expected to manage internal and externally sourced skus.
* With color additions, DS must research entire color bank using AS400 and SQL to avoid color duplication.
* As requested, DS will drop skus from the yarn product master.

Edit quality and reason codes

* * * DS is expected to edit quality and reason codes to yarn inventory, on case or lot level, as needed.
* DS is expect to restrict yarn, based on defect, to less critical styles as needed. DS will add the restricted flag and comments to yarn lots, while communicating all downstream users.
* DS is expected to edit quality and reason codes to roll inventory, greige or finished, as needed.
* DS is expected to work with all downstream users (planning, tuft, dye, coat) to manage suspect carpet inventory out the door.

Weekly Quality Reporting

* * * DS is expected to manage Yarn Quality file. Every Monday DM will add each weeks yarn, carpet, and OQ totals. DM will them create and update the OQ totals daily until the weeks OQ has been finalized, sending final report on Friday.
* DS is expected to manage and report the Direct Tuft and AE OQ file. DM will run QL610 report to extraction each operations production numbers then combine with the weeks OQ, to publish the DT/AE OQ file.

Additional Responsibilities

* DS is expected to keep a clean/safe workspace and adhere to all Mohawk workplace policies.
* DS will conduct custom data analysis from multiple sources as required by management

Experience: DS will be proficient in Sequel, Excel, AS400. Working knowledge of YO system and Test Manager would be desirable.
